Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 July 2026 · Applies to the Sproutive mobile app and this website (sproutive.app)

The short version: Sproutive collects no personal information. Ever. The app has no accounts, no cloud storage, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party SDKs. Everything you and your child create stays on your device, under your control. Our store data-safety labels read: "No data collected, no data shared."

1. Who we are

Sproutive is developed and published by Sproutive (ABN 46 365 991 102), an independent sole-trader business based in New South Wales, Australia ("we", "us", "our"). For privacy questions, contact privacy@sproutive.app.

2. What we collect: nothing

We designed Sproutive so that we are technically unable to access your data:

  • No accounts. The app never asks for your name, email address, phone number or any other identifier.
  • No servers. The app does not connect to any server we operate. There is nowhere for your data to be sent.
  • No analytics or tracking. No usage analytics, no crash-reporting services, no advertising identifiers, no third-party SDKs of any kind.
  • No ads. The app contains no advertising and never will.

3. Data stored on your device (and only there)

To do its job, the app stores information locally on your device, in the app's private storage. This may include:

  • Child profiles you create (first name or nickname, avatar, colour theme, age-related settings)
  • Routines, tasks, rewards, star points, levels and badges
  • Emotion check-ins, break requests, calm-toolkit use and behaviour logs
  • Parent journal notes and day ratings
  • Your parent PIN and security question/answer (used only to unlock the parent area on this device)

This information never leaves your device unless you export it (see section 6) or your device's own backup system includes it (see section 7). We never see it, receive it, or process it.

4. Device permissions

The app requests no device permissions at all — no microphone, no camera, no photos, no location, no contacts, no notifications. There is nothing to grant and nothing to revoke.

5. Purchases

Sproutive is sold as a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies — we never see your payment details, and the stores do not share them with us.

6. Exports you create

The parent dashboard can generate PDF reports and CSV files from your local data. These exports are created on your device and saved or shared only where you choose to send them. Once you share an export (for example, emailing it to a therapist), it is governed by however you and the recipient handle it — so share thoughtfully.

7. Device backups

If you use your device's full-device backup (such as iCloud Backup or Google's device backup), the app's local data may be included, like any other app on your device. Those backups are controlled by your Apple or Google account settings and their privacy policies — not by us. This is the only way app data can leave the device, and it is entirely under your control.

8. Children's privacy

Sproutive is designed for children to use with their parents and carers. Because the app collects and transmits nothing, no personal information about any child is ever received by us or by any third party. We publish a dedicated, plain-language Children's Privacy page covering this in detail, including our approach to COPPA (US) and the Australian Privacy Act 1988.

9. This website

This website follows the same philosophy as the app:

  • No cookies, no analytics, no advertising, no social media widgets, no tracking of any kind
  • Fonts are self-hosted — no requests are made to font CDNs or other third parties
  • Our web hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived technical logs (such as IP address and requested page) to operate and secure the service, as virtually all web hosts do; we do not use these to identify or profile visitors
  • If you email us, we receive what you send and use it only to reply and to fix the issue you raise

10. Data deletion

Because all data lives on your device, you can delete it at any time — reset from within the app's parent settings, delete an individual child profile, or uninstall the app to remove everything. There is no server-side data for us to delete, and nothing to request from us. Full instructions are on our data deletion page.

11. Your rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (including the Australian Privacy Principles) and similar laws elsewhere (such as the GDPR and CCPA), you have rights over personal information an organisation holds about you. We hold none: no access requests, correction requests or deletion requests are needed, because there is nothing on our side to access, correct or delete. If you believe we hold any personal information about you (for example, an email you sent us), contact privacy@sproutive.app and we will address it promptly. You may also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

12. Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app or website handles data, we will update this policy, change the "last updated" date above, and — for any material change — note it prominently on this website and in app release notes. Our core promise will not change: no subscriptions, no ads, no cloud data collection.
